Ed Hearn Resources
A Personal Note from Ed
Thank you for taking a brief moment to consider the possibility of allowing me to utilize the “gifts” I have been given to positively impact the lives of your group.
In working with countless meeting coordinators over the past thirty-three years, I have long since come to realize that planning a group meeting is no small task. You have the unenviable job of pleasing not only your boss, but the hundreds or even thousands of different personalities that make up your group. I feel it is my job to make you look like a hero in everyone’s eyes.
As professional speakers, we are privileged to positively impact the lives of our fellow man. Many people cannot fathom the passion I have for the work I now do away from the ball park. The truth is, I look forward to speaking to a group of people more than I used to look forward to playing in a major league baseball game.
Furthermore, because of my transcendent and open-hearted speaking style, I have found many audience members typically enjoy the opportunity to socialize and even spend personal one-on-one moments together after my programs. Therefore, I would like you to understand my personal philosophy is that of being more than just a speaker to the groups who book me.
Whenever possible, I like to make myself readily available to share these special “up-close” moments. Whether it’s taking photos with my new friends and the World Series trophy, personally autographing my book or even joining in on a round of golf with the group, I consider these to be all part of my job in helping to make your event one they will remember for a long time to come.
I look forward to the possibility of working with you in the near future! Not only would we have a good time, but more importantly, I know we can have a positive impact on the lives on those in your group.

“Working with Ed is a breeze! They don’t call him EASY ED for nothing!”
Ed's Introduction
Today, we are pleased to have with us, Mr. Ed Hearn. He is a former major league player, having played 13 years of professional baseball. His playing career included a World Series Championship season with the 1986 New York Mets and a brief time with the Kansas City Royals.
Yes, Ed Hearn has climbed the mountain of success and joined an elite few who have fulfilled the dream most young boys have of playing in the Major Leagues and winning a World Series.
But his story is much more than just that of a professional athlete. Less than a year after a major shoulder injury brought a premature end to his playing career, he was diagnosed with three life threatening health conditions and reduced to a man who could barely care for himself.
Today, after three life-saving kidney transplants, years of dialysis, thirty radiation treatments for a bout with cancer, the aid of a breathing machine each night, a $8,000 IV treatment each month, and 30 pills per day, Ed Hearn has come back with a courage, faith and a determination that speak volumes as we face life’s curves.
Now play Ed’s video introduction below…
Ed's Travel
They call him “Easy Ed” for a reason – you won’t find an easier speaker to work with on this planet. He will always do his best to find a great airfare to travel from his home airport (Kansas City – MCI) to your destination. If Ed flies from one client to the next client, he will split that leg of the airfare between the two clients–offering additional savings. Upon arrival and throughout is stay with your group ground transportation can be provided by:
• A member of your staff or group can provide transportation; having him get a cab or Uber; and finally, as a last resort, Ed can get a rental car.
• When arranging a hotel room for Ed, please book non-smoking direct billed to your master account.
• As for meals, Ed can charge a per diem of $50/day or provide an invoice with receipts after your event.
Travel expenses can be handled one of two ways. Ed does have a flat fee for travel that includes airfare, ground transportation, meals, tips and any other incidentals. All you are responsible for is the hotel room. The expenses are paid along with the speaking fee the day of the event and voilà! You are done with any more exchange of monies, invoices, and the like. Inquire with her about her current flat fee rate for expenses.
The other option is that Ed can invoice you after the event for expenses. You will be provided copies of receipts along with the invoice.
